We stopped here to have a base for a three days of exploring. We wanted to go snorkelling somewhere calm and was recommended Blue Lagoon back in September. We found the place as recommended by Padi. What a hidden gem, we were fortunate to get the sea view room, clean, tidy and bulk bottled water available in the room. The La Cabana restaurant had a great variety of food, all cooked to the a high standard and delicious. The swim up bar was a bonus also but the best was yet to come. On our first night, after checking in and booking a snorkel tour, we were approached and asked if we would like to go for a dive the following day. My partner snorkelled however I got to experience some of the best diving I have had. The Dive team were equally as professional, fun and personable as the resort staff. We dived / snorkelled at Manta point, crowded but amazing and both snorkelled and divers got to experience close encounters with multiple manta’s. The second (and my favourite dive) was Crystal Bay it was again crowded but no one missed out on what made you feel like you were in an aquarium, highlights were wobbygong, reef shark, sea snake, a turtle eating, and a school of barracuda, unfortunately no Mola today though. The final dive was a drift dive Peb - Sentinal. Which looked like a coral rehabilitation area in parts, still an abundance of fish and moray eels. The thing I appreciated most was my partner got a similar experience at the surface as I did 12-20meters below. Great spot, great people, great location. I cannot recommend high enough. I will definitely be back.

Thought I would write this the night before we leave tomorrow. We picked Padang Bai to leave Bali for Gili and thought this timd wed stay two days at Absolute Scuba, and fortunate for us we booked the ocean view room. One of two that overlook the bay. Our first day we red around town, up to thd cheap supermarket and back. Then walked over to thd blue lagoon for snorkelling. It's a steep walk up and down to beach but manageable. Snorkelling from the beach was great. On way back we saw a family of monkeys 🐒 so that cool. The ocean view room is exceptional. To be clear wear its not 5 star room far from it, but we came for the view and it was exceptional. The second day started with alacarte breakfast which was amazing. I had omelette back and toast, fruit, banana pancake which was more like a crepe and it was divine followed by jam and honey on toast washed down with pot of tea 🍵... This place is a working scuba resort so it comes with people using pool for lessons before hittihitting the sites....nothing better thsn watching kids and grandparents getting lessons on holiday.... Oh yes, finally walking around town today (mind in idle) the manager yelled out to me....wife had to gwt my attention...south african chap, he just wanted to introduce himself and congratulate us on anniversery which was really nice...took me a minute to get my brain into gear.... Like many other reviews this place is exceptional its such a world away from southern bali. Recommend if your exiting or entering bali through padang bai give this place and especially the ocean view room a go.

The facility is older but it has the best location in Padangbai. Right next to the bay and 5-10 minute walk to Blue Lagoon Beach where you can snorkel. I also did 2 dives with them in local waters. It turned out to be a private tour as I had the dive master and boat all to myself. The service was fantastic. The equipments were old though (we had to go back for a new BCD because the one I had had a sticky inflation button that over inflates). So over all fantastic service and location, but the owner needs to invest in better equipments and modernize the rooms.

Very nice location for those travelling to the Gili islands with fast boats. Travelling with the 8 o'clock boat, we had to fast food the breakfast, but had time to spare before 7:30 check-in. Very friendly breakfast staff personnel. We had issues with the air condition and a insect or reptile inside the hotel room making noise about every 20min during the night. Nobody were close to rested the next day.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, the staff is even more awesome, did the Gates of heaven tour and it is breathtaking!! Our driver Putu was patient and accommodating... The manager Duan made us feel at home and addressed all our needs. Gorgeous pool and beachfront views. Food was outstanding Must recommend for divers and snorkelers!! Thank You Absolutely Scuba for the amazing adventures!!
