Small dive centre in Barra, Mozambique, run by Greg and Gwen Pugh.
Greg has been diving since 2002 and is an instructor with several training agencies.
Gwen has been diving since 2005, is a Dive Master as well as an Aqua Aerobics instructor.
We believe in giving our clients an unforgettable experience through personal attention and by favouring small groups.
The reefs surrounding the Barra peninsula are exceptional and offer some of the best diving in Mozambique.
Giant manta rays, the gentle giants of the ocean, frequent our reefs, and macro photography enthusiasts will be able to admire incredible marine life.
Whale sharks can be spotted during the boat ride to the dive site, while the winter season brings humpback whales close to our coast.
Courses, from Open Water up to Dive Master, are offered along with a wide range of specialities.
We are proud of the quality of our training and our safety standards.
Although we are primarily a DiveRAID centre, a PADI instructor is on site and we can also welcome those wishing to take a PADI course.
For non-diving visitors, Ocean Safaris, excursions to Pansy Island and Sea Horse outings are available.
Barra also offers various activities that we can arrange.
Palm View Lodge, our sister company, comprises 2 fully equipped self-catering units, which allows us to offer affordable dive stays and packages.

Our sister company, Palm View Lodge, is located about 800 m from the dive center. It offers 2 independent units with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms each, which can accommodate up to 12 people.
Other accommodations are available nearby, including seafront units for independent rentals or, for those wishing to book packages with meals, luxury options are also available.

Safety information :
Oxygen is always available on our boats and an automatic external defibrillator (AED) is present at the dive center. We are DAN partners.
Other activities offered by the center :
Ocean safari, snorkeling, estuary and island excursions, kayak rentals. Deep-sea fishing charters are nearby.
Opening and annual closure days :
Open 7 days a week with an annual closure in February.

Greg, our DM is attentive he really cares about your safety first but at the same time wants you to see all that these beautiful reefs have to offer. We have done 2 activities with them. First we did an Ocean Safari, in which we were able to swim with the whale shark and the next day we did a dive with Greg. The most important thing is that we had not dived for 4 years and both Greg and Gwen gave us the necessary peace of mind. Furthermore, there were only 2 of us on the diving and there were 6 of us on the safari. The boats that we saw from other companies had 12-14 people on board. The price is another plus point at Aqushòlics (2950 MZM for the dive with the reef fee included and 2500 for the safari). We can also ensure that the equipment is in perfect condition
