Our team of 10 marine scientists stayed at Aquaventure Reef Club and had a fantastic experience. The dive operators were incredibly helpful and knowledgable. Richard helped us pick the best sites for our trip, and had a keen eye for tiny rare species -- which helped reinforce this areas reputation as a macrophotographer's dream. Our dive gear was meticulously handled by the boat operators each morning before and after dives -- a true VIP treatment. Jenn and her husband, the owners, were incredibly attentive to our needs. The food was great, cold beverages on the shaded patio each day at sunset, what more could you ask for? The rooms were comfortable with powerful air conditioning units. There's a great mountain hike and cute coffee shop all within walking distance. Oh and the diving? Awesome. We were mostly focused on scientific research instead of recreational site-seeing, but the corals at most of the sites were lovely and plenty of healthy populations of fish and invertebrates. If you like close-up shots of nudibranchs and gorgeous tiny critters -- this is the place for you.

We stayed at aquaventure for a week with the main goal of doing our open water diving certication. - Starting with the diving training: Gen Paras is an amazing instructor, she is very knowledgeable and we felt safe and comfortable troughout the whole training. She was also very funny and approachable which made the whole experience 100 times better ❤️ the dive spots we did during the course were amazing, a whole variety of fish and amazing sights. The locations chosen made us comfortable doing our emergency exercises. Almost no current and great visibility. - After the course we did a couple of divings with their dive master and made us fell in love with scuba diving. We also took a kayak (free for guests) and did some snorkeling nearby and was super relaxing, we saw big schools of fish and turtles. - the hotel: simple but feels like home. The food was amazing, great variety everyday and they also accommodated our requests. We had a sample of some great Philippino home dishes. - the staff was incredibly friendly and they genuinely cared if we were feeling comfortable or needed anything. I can't think of a better place to stay if you plan to do training or just want to relax. We will definitely come back next year and you should come too!!!

Would definitely recommend Aquaventure not only for divers but also families due to the calmness and privacy of the place. As for location, there was so much space for parking and had a direct connection to the road so no issues if you want to bring your car or go by tricycle. The restaurant was great and was able to accommodate me and my husband's dietary restrictions (vegan and vegetarian) so had no issues with this at all and had delicious servings too. It was also mentioned that you could rent a karaoke machine and book other services such as relaxing massages so will give that a try next time! Additionally I had such a great experience here with getting my SSI Nitrox certification. Gen and Steve were amazing all throughout and supportive of me when I was struggling with some issues, and felt so taken care of from start to finish. The staff were all very accommodating with every need we had and it was so much fun and that I can't wait to go back again soon!

Our second stay @ Aquaventure and it was even better than the first one because we finally decided to take a diving course and go for diving instead of snorkeling as we did first time. Gen was amazing as an instructor, very knowledgeable with fantastic sense of humor!😁 After talking a course Gen and Richard took us for a very first dive and it was great experience that will stay in our memories forever. We already booked another stay with them because we got hooked on diving. Place is fantastic and offers the most beautiful sunset! 🌅 Entire crew is very friendly and helpful and ma’am Razzell is very caring and accommodating. Chef is very good, serving yummy meals. We can’t wait until next trip to meet all of them again and enjoy our time there, especially our second time diving experience! It’s worth to mention that the resort is pet friendly so we could bring our puppies with us and let them enjoy the swim in the ocean.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 An impeccable diving learning experience! Thank you Instructor Gen for restoring my confidence in diving! My previous attempt at a PADI Open Water course in Cairns, Australia, was disappointing due to the instructor handling six students at once, lacking personalized attention, and being an itinerant instructor without local expertise. Learning SSI Open Water with Instructor Gen at Aquaventure Reef Club was a completely different story! Gen is the only DAN instructor in the Philippines—professional, patient, and exceptionally responsible. I was fortunate to receive one-on-one instruction, especially during the pool session. I initially struggled with mask clearing, but Gen guided me step by step with great patience until I mastered it. What truly moved me was her special attention to my equalization issues. She not only had me practice repeatedly in the pool but also closely monitored my equalization during the open water dives the next day, ensuring my safety and comfort. Our open water skill training was integrated into fun dives, making the process both relaxed and enriching. We visited boat sites, feeding areas, and explored reef sites that felt like underwater "aquariums"—learning was never boring. The accommodation and dining were delightful surprises! The staff were as warm as family, adjusting meals to my preferences. I got to try Filipino dishes, Chinese cuisine, and Western-style meals. If needed, in-room massage service was available upon request—so thoughtful. The price was much more reasonable compared to Australia, offering fantastic value for money! The SSI system's emphasis on safety gave me great peace of mind. I am already planning to return and continue my Advanced Open Water Diver course with Gen.
