Bali Reef Divers is a 5-star PADI dive center based in Amed, on the east coast of Bali, at the heart of one of Indonesia's richest diving areas. Founded in 2008 and first 5-star PADI in Amed since 2009, the center offers guided dives in small groups, training for all levels, and dive and stay packages at the Kura Kura Divers Lodge — with a training pool, restaurant, and bar on site.
Between iconic wrecks (USAT Liberty, Boga Wreck), spectacular drop-offs, living coral reefs, and world-class muck diving on black volcanic sand, the Amed–Tulamben area offers an exceptional underwater diversity. The Kura Kura Divers Lodge is a diver's lodge located a few minutes' walk from Amed beach. It offers 16 modern rooms with air conditioning, hot water, terraces or balconies with sun loungers, custom mattresses, mini-bar and free Wi-Fi. Direct access to the dive center, training pool and Kura Bar makes it an ideal base for a complete and relaxing dive stay.

I completed my Open Water, Advanced Open Water, and Nitrox certifications at Bali Reef Divers—an absolutely fantastic and memorable experience. My instructor, Laurent, is highly experienced and incredibly welcoming. I did 10 dives with him, and before every single descent, he would say, "Then, I shall wish you a pleasant dive." He was also exceptionally meticulous—during night dives, he would carefully search through every patch of seaweed, turning over each leaf just to spot the tiny crabs that come out after dark. I highly recommend studying with him.

We did our open water padi course with Bali Reef Divers, Sari was our instructor and he was great, really funny and reassuring. Pierre was also accompanying doing his divemaster course and was also good. Would recommend doing your course with them. We stayed with them at puri wirata and did the package option with accommodation and course included, was super handy to have everything in one place. Also good location with restaurants around (besides the on location restaurant) and pharmacy and swim shop nearby. Free try diving dives in the pool from 2-4pm also if you stay with them.

I had a great Open Water Course with Laurent. He was very patient with me and teaches me all the basics of diving. I had much fun and can really recommend this dive center. Equipment was in perfect condition, coffee, tea, water, biscuits and towels are provided. The use the pool of Puri Wirata hotel for the pool sessions and we did 5 ocean dives. I had an amazing experience and would definitely come back to this dive center when I am around to do some fun dives with them.
