Bird Dive Center is a friendly and professional diving center located in Amed, on the east of Bali, one of the most beautiful and peaceful diving destinations on the island.
We benefit from an ideal location close to Bali's most famous diving sites, including the famous wreck of the USS Liberty at Tulamben, as well as Amed's colorful coral reefs and its black sand slopes rich in macro-fauna.

Safety information :
At the Bird Dive Center, safety is our absolute priority. All dives are organized in accordance with SSI standards and international scuba diving safety rules.
Before each dive, all participants must fill out a medical questionnaire and carefully follow the instructor's or divemaster's briefings. Certified divers must present a valid certification card. Dive profiles are planned based on experience level, training, and current conditions.
We prefer small groups, with a maximum of 4 divers per professional, to ensure close supervision and personalized assistance. Each dive includes a detailed briefing of the site, a complete equipment check, and clearly explained emergency procedures.
Recommendations regarding the time before flying after the dive must be strictly respected. Depth and dive time limits are applied with rigor, and departures can be modified or cancelled if conditions are not favorable.
Equipment is regularly maintained and inspected. Emergency oxygen and first aid equipment are available at the center and during dives.
Other activities offered by the center :
In addition to scuba diving, the Bird Dive Center offers several nautical activities accessible near the center, such as freediving, snorkeling, and kayaking. These activities are ideal for discovering the region at a more leisurely pace or for accompanying non-diving friends and family members.
Opening hours and annual closure :
The center is open every day of the year and does not plan a fixed annual closure period.
It is recommended that certified divers bring their certification card and dive log. Also, don't forget to bring sunscreen respectful of the reefs, a swimsuit, and a positive attitude. Good hydration and a good night's sleep before the dive are strongly recommended.
Thank you in advance for informing us of any medical condition, recent illness, or special need so that our team can best organize. Early morning dives are highly recommended to take advantage of the best conditions, especially on popular sites like the USS Liberty wreck.

I completed my Open Water course with Bird Dive Center in Amed, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The instructors were patient, knowledgeable, and very supportive, making the learning process enjoyable and stress-free. They took the time to ensure every skill was clearly understood and practiced, which really helped build confidence in the water. The training was well-organized, with a good balance between theory and practical sessions. The dive sites were calm and perfect for learning, with plenty of marine life to keep things exciting. I wouldn’t recommend this dive centre unless you only speak Mandarin. Pickup: The driver was an hour late, so I ended up driving myself. Equipment: The gear was quite old and worn. My fins broke the second time I tried to put them on. Overall, the day felt very disorganised. Despite arriving late, they were able to fit me in, and I did a quick refresher with a Divemaster trainee who was friendly and competent, though there was a language barrier. The Liberty Wreck fun dive tour left an hour late, with a lot of waiting around. Ten minutes into the trip, we stopped for another 10 minutes because they had forgotten a GoPro. The dive itself was great — the Liberty Wreck was amazing — but the poor organisation continued afterward. Lunch was supposed to be provided, but they forgot about us, and I didn’t eat until 3:30pm. What disappointed me most was the lack of acknowledgement or apology. I spent around three hours waiting throughout the day. The next day I went to Adventure Divers Bali just down the road which is a much better run dive centre.

I think the tour went smoothly overall. It was a little disappointing that the pickup time wasn’t confirmed until the afternoon the day before, which made it difficult to plan ahead. I recommend to rent a GoPro for when you find a turtle and take good memories under the ocean
