I stayed in Senggigi. I thought I would just be on a boat to have dives near Gili islands. It turns out that we gathered at its Gili T's dive center, joined with others and head for multiple dives. It picked us up from our hotel (very convenient) and provide us boat transfers together with its helpful staff to its Gili T's dive center. I would recommend this dive center if you were to choose to stay in Senggigi instead of Gili T. Note that Senggigi is very much more peaceful than Gili T. Equipments provided (BCD and weights - others we had our own) were in good conditions. DIve master assigned (Victor from France) was helpful. On the boat, staff were helpful to change tanks and remove gears (including BCD and tank) from the water. At times, I find it a bit dangerous if the BCD and tank slip and fall back on the diver. I would prefer divers to carry its own tank up. Perhaps it is a practice in Gili. The ladder to the boat is helpful to get on to the boat easily after a tiring dive. It could have been better if the ladder has an additional step. Let's talk about the dives here. I visited Lombok in July (peak season) - airfares and hotel were on the higher side but in exchange you get perfect weather conditions - dry, sunny and cool (with the wind blowing from the south). Visibility is perfect (around 30 meters or more). A lot of drift dives - not strong current. I would recommend to bring along a hook to slow down drift - could be handy for some areas (the current for my dive at Shark Point was quite strong) and for safety, have your own SMB. Things to see - a lot of large turtles, found a frog fish (first time seeing it), a couple of reef sharks, healthy corals (especially at Shark Point, Sunset and Turtle), lively coral fish (a lot of Banner fish, moorish idol). I would say DSM is a reliable dive center and has the necessary staff to assist.

My husband and I got our Open Water diving certification at DSM. It was an incredible experience for us. The whole booking experience was very smooth. Greg answered all of our questions and helped us get a good idea of what to expect. When we reached the centre, we were blessed to have Tito as our instructor. He was so focused on our safety and patient with us. He ensured that we understand what we are doing at all points. Even as we went into the pool and finally the ocean, he was extremely mindful of our skill level and helping us navigate how to get better at everything while remaining calm underwater. Overall, we could not have hoped for a better experience. We are so lucky to have had our first diving experience with DSM and Tito!

Highly recommend the refresh course with Sammy! I was extremely nervous and worried since I hadn't been diving in 10 years. However, Instructor Sammy made me feel so comfortable during the refresh course. She was very patient with me and helped me regain my confidence in the water. Had an amazing experience with DSM. I really wish I could have had more days and more dives with them. I dived with 5 other centres across Bali, and another one in gili t. DSM stood out as the best, i believe in a simpler philosophy - good vibes leads to good dives. And the dives we did here were perfect. From the moment we consulted with them, both the jacks(inside joke) made us feel comfortable and were ready to answer any questions we had about the dive sites. The dive master assigned to us - Victor was just a bundle of joy to dive with. Easy going, patient, he helped my wife very patiently when she was having equalising issues. We dived halik and turtle city, and both dives were just mind altering. They were very professional also, proper dive debriefing and logging. Other dive centres did not do this and felt very commercial. Here you felt like you belong! Thanks dsm.

5 Star experience. Had Weebs for my refresher and dive. She was the best dive master I could ask for and going out into Sharks Point. We saw a lot of the marine life there and she identified all the species after the dive. They have a great operation going on in Gili. Highly recommend!
