I was here for almost a week, diving 4 times a day most days. The resort and dive shop exceeded my expectations. A special thank you to Alex who was my guide most of the week - an excellent spotter and a pleasure to spend time with. The other guides and boat crew were also excellent. The best dive resort I’ve stayed at. The entire staff was incredibly kind, attention, and overwhelmingly accommodating. The rooms were spacious, clean, and the housekeeping attended the rooms every day. The views are picturesque, and the food has excellent variety and exquisite taste. The dive shop is extremely professional and courteous. I highly recommend going to Apo Island at least once on the trip. Second time around and felt like coming home. Learnt to dive here and after not-so-very-good experiences diving as a beginner in other places, came back for my AOW because I know I would be taken cared of in the school and as a guest. This is Filipino hospitality as its best. The staff are helpful and joyful. The jokes that fly around are hilarious. We stayed at a standard cottage. Basic and clean. It’s right in front of the sea (amazing sunrise). There’s a long path that can be comfortable walked in the morning before the midday sun. Pool for swimming and lounging for the non-divers. Deep water source for showers (there are hot springs nearby) and we felt softened our skins. This is a diving place and the best thing is the School. Also you got your own crate in the school so your stuff is there until you finish all the dives/courses. I had the amazing Zack for my AOW whose patience I appreciate given I am less than a good diver. (Liquid also helps hosts the Marine Institute folks so had Nadia too as my teacher!). Safety is always paramount. I went back to get my tuition where I felt safe and I couldn’t be happier. Dauin itself has amazing macro and muck diving sites. (Sadly Apo day had to be cancelled because of the waves so we will just have to go back :D). Travelled here solo first time and after dives you can also meet fellow solo divers at the bar (Kuya Janjan and Paupau are the best barkeeps!) so there is always a friendly atmosphere. My best friend non-diver was taken cared of by the staff. I now feel that liquid may have raised the bar of what she expects as Filipinos hospitality in the other islands that we visit!

The beachfront location is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for relaxing by the sea and enjoying the natural surroundings. The resort has a laid-back, friendly vibe that makes you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, and the staff were welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help. Their dive services were excellent — professional, safe, and well-organized, which made exploring the underwater world even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Liquid Dumaguete to anyone looking for a great dive resort with a relaxed seaside atmosphere.
