Nautilus Diving Dakar is Senegal's leading dive centre, established facing N'Gor Bay since 1999. Just 15 minutes from downtown Dakar, we invite you to discover the exceptional underwater world of the Senegalese Atlantic coast.
Our passionate instructors, all PADI-certified, guide you from your first dive through to advanced courses in a professional and warm setting. Our daily outings take you to the region's best sites: N'Gor Island, Roche de Matre and the famous wrecks of Dakar Bay.
The centre welcomes both beginner divers and experienced divers looking to explore the riches of the tropical Atlantic.
Good to Know
Safety: Emergency oxygen tanks on board, instructors trained in first aid. No solo diving for those with fewer than 50 dives.
Other activities: Kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkelling, visits to Gorée Island.
Hours: Open 7 days a week, morning outings at 8am and afternoon at 2pm. Booking recommended 24 hours in advance.

Pretty rad experience! The dive is at 10am which kinda sucks - goes it goes right into the centre of the day, disallowing you to plan for other activities. Other than that, was sweet! As an advance open water, everything was seamless. Got all the gears, they helped me set up the BCD. Oh & would have appreciated if the tanks are taken to the boat & back to the shop by your team! What are we paying you for then? Renting the gears & using your boat? Lol Nonetheless awesome experience & great guys. Would dive again with them 👍

During my stay in Senegal I took the Advanced Open Water and Enriched Air Diver course with them as well as a fun dive. The truth is that the experience was unbeatable, both the organization and the management of everything was perfect. But above all, the best thing is the human treatment you receive from all the instructors, both Hilda and Baptiste and Philippe are great people who help you with everything you need and solve all the doubts that may arise about the dives; and if you add that they are great professionals ... it is a perfect diving club! Nautilus is a wonderful dive shop with very friendly staff and owner. They are very patient and kind instructors. I started my advanced diving certificate with Nautilus and will return to Dakar this summer to finish. I very much enjoyed my dives with Nautilus. I had a great experience getting my Open Water Diver certification at Nautilus. All of the staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional, especially Hilda and Osman with whom I did the majority of my dives. The location was great and the facilities were clean (it is based in one of the hotels right on Ngor Beach) and the equipment was well cared for. The staff is also bilingual in English and French. The diving locations in/around Ngor Bay were also mostly superb and full of things to see, although the shallow-water ones used for early training dives were sometimes dirty due to being close to the beach. Highly recommend Nautilus overall for anyone who's looking for a great diving experience in Dakar!
