Fantastic diving experience with Sambo Divers in the Marsa Alam / Port Ghalib area. The dives were beautifully organized, with safe, relaxed briefings and stunning Red Sea sites full of marine life. Axelle and Emad were particularly excellent and welcoming, always making sure everything went smoothly and that the atmosphere on the boat and underwater was friendly and professional. The whole team did a great job throughout the stay, from the office to the boat crew and guides, creating a very warm, family-like feeling. And a special thank you to Islam for always helping me with my shoes – those little attentions make the experience truly memorable.

From our very first WhatsApp conversation to the final invoice, Axelle was incredibly professional. In a region where "hidden costs" or last-minute surprises can be common, Axelle was 100% transparent. Everything agreed upon was delivered perfectly. Her organization and honest communication gave us great confidence before we even arrived. A huge thank you to our instructor, Ibrahim! He is not just a skilled diver but a fantastic teacher. He was extremely patient with us, very detail-oriented regarding safety, and helped us significantly improve our buoyancy and underwater skills. We felt completely safe and relaxed in every dive thanks to his guidance. The equipment was well-maintained, the boat crew was helpful, and the dive sites selected were stunning. We never felt like "just another tourist"; we felt like part of the team. We are already planning our next trip (hopefully for Elphinstone!). Highly recommended for anyone seeking quality diving in Port Ghalib region.

I will write a detailed review about the snorkeling tour, which Egyptra Travel booked for us (the boat is called Sea Star). I’ve been to Egypt 5 times and have taken more than 15 boat tours, but I have never experienced such a disaster or seen such a rude and unprofessional crew before (especially one of them). At the start of the tour, we went to the first snorkeling spot and everything was fine there. When we arrived at the second spot, Marsa Mubarak, even though there were many boats already stationed there, our boat struggled with the waves for about 50 minutes trying to stop and anchor. Then they put us on a zodiac for snorkeling, but the zodiac’s engine didn’t work. The zodiac drifted toward the reefs, and another boat’s zodiac had to come and take us back. When we asked why we couldn’t stop properly, one of them said, “If we hadn’t done this, you would have died”. Who says this? After we got back on the boat, the sea was extremely rough and people started vomiting ( I have seen at least six people). When I asked why they organized the tour if the weather was bad, they said the weather had changed and that it was not their responsibility. When I complained, one of the crew members (Abdul) aggressively approached me saying, “What do you want?” in a threatening way. At around 2 PM, they tried to serve food, but all the plates were sliding due to the waves and they immediately took everything back. One of the dining tables even broke under my hand and came off completely. They then served food when we came back to the pier at 3pm but we didn’t eat, we just wanted to go back to our hotel. Then, as if it was our fault, they said, “We offered you snorkeling again but you didn’t go,” and “We offered you food but you didn’t eat.” The only thing they care about is money. Do not expect any hospitality like you would find on other boats. Other tourists also said they would report this to the police. And when we finally came back to the pier, there was no car waiting for us. We waited for more than 25 mins. At the end three of the crew apologized, but this doesn’t change what we experienced. If you don’t want your day to be ruined, never join this tour and never get on this boat.

A very well organised dive centre with excellent communication from Axelle at the office. January isn’t the best time to go to see anything big, but we still had a great time. We were hoping for dolphins, dugong and white tips, but no luck this time. Our only grumble is the permanent smoking by all staff and crew on the boat. There’s no escape, especially on deck, when setting up kit. Only other complaint is with the dive guides asking for tips everyday, which gets infuriating after 5 days.. but in general, it’s a great company. Also the food on the big boats was great.

We had a wonderful time snorkeling with dolphins at Sataya! The New San Giovanni boat crew amazing. The guides were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly, making us feel safe and relaxed throughout the entire experience. The boat seemed to be new, clean, very comfortable. The food served on board was delicious. Everything was well organized, and the crew went above and beyond to ensure everyone had an enjoyable trip. Thank you to the entire team for such a fantastic experience. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend this dive shop to anyone looking for a memorable snorkeling or scuba diving adventure!
